Employment Opportunity: Varsity Assistant
The University of King's College is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to assist with varsity programming and matters relating to the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for athletics and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Athletics Department, including office and facility administration.
- Assist with varsity administration, including scheduling and coordinating events, managing uniforms and equipment, and coordinating with coaches and gear suppliers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Athletics Department, answering calls and managing email inquiries.
- Monitor the use of facilities and regularly check that equipment is in good working order.
- Administer financial paperwork for the department and submit maintenance requests for the facility.
- Assist with the management of sports information requirements, including University and Conference websites, nomination forms, championship bulletins, schedules, and social media.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience, working in higher education and/or Athletics and Facility Management.
- Business or Office Administration diploma is required; Undergraduate degree is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word and Excel) is required.
- Proficiency in WordPress is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification is required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Benefits:
- Starting salary range: $34,957 to $39,977 annually, including a benefits plan with medical and dental.
