Employment Opportunity: Varsity Assistant (Full-Time, One-Year Contract)

The University of King's College is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to assist with varsity programming and facility management. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for athletics and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Athletics Department.
  • Manage office and facility administration, including financial paperwork and maintenance requests.
  • Distribute and be responsible for mandatory forms.
  • Assist in facilitating and managing schedules and details for all away events for teams.
  • Schedule and maintain all practice times for both indoor and outdoor sports.
  • Assist with operational aspects of varsity games and tournaments.
  • Work with coaches on inventory and storage of uniforms and equipment.
  • Coordinate with coaches and gear suppliers to order necessary uniforms and team gear.
  • Manage sports information requirements, including university and conference websites, nomination forms, and championship bulletins.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience in higher education and/or athletics and facility management.
  • Business or Office Administration diploma required; undergraduate degree considered an asset.
  • Understanding of athletics and varsity sports required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word and Excel) required.
  • Proficiency in WordPress an asset.
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment, both independently and within a group.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
