Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect facilities and ensure that specifications are met.
  • Respond promptly to client concerns and requests, providing solutions that meet their needs.
  • Coordinate with clients, management, contractors, and employees to complete reports, inspections, and client requests.
  • Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage and track inventory and equipment, ensuring that all necessary resources are available when needed.
  • Coordinate and execute event requests made by facility managers, ensuring that all logistical details are taken care of.
  • Source, train, and orient new employees, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating the values of BGIS and promoting a positive work culture.
  • Ensure that all service providers are compliant with company quality, security, and safety mandates, and that all workers are cleared through all security protocols.
  • Review daily site evaluations and audits to ensure that safety, security, and service standards are being met.
  • Create action plans and follow up on deficiencies as outlined in quality inspections to resolve all facility issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain service schedules according to client needs, ensuring that all services are delivered on time and to the required standard.
  • Monitor and manage staff absence and turnover, ensuring that flexible cover arrangements are in place within short notice.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate with operations managers from various facilities, ensuring that all information is shared and that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Monitor employee performance and apply progressive discipline as needed, ensuring that all employees are performing to the required standard.
  • Operate within the labor cost budget on a site-by-site basis, ensuring that all costs are managed effectively.
  • Implement approved operational policies and procedures, ensuring that all employees are aware of and comply with them.
  • Generate new account leads and respond to sales enquiries, ensuring that all opportunities are pursued and that all clients are satisfied with the service they receive.
  • Protect company and client assets from misuse and damage, ensuring that all security protocols are followed and that all employees are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
  • Address and report any safety or security issues to the Director of Operations, ensuring that all incidents are investigated and that all necessary actions are taken to prevent future incidents.
  • Handle and assist with emergency procedures accordingly and as required, ensuring that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in this regard.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of management experience in operations of a service-related field.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in both written and oral English is a must, bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Must be organized and able to interpret and execute account specifications as well as agreements, budgets, and duty lists.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent time management skills, must adhere to tight deadlines, respond quickly to situations, and be able to effectively execute solutions.
  • Familiarity with cleaning and battery-operated equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner.
