Job Title: Planning/Scheduling Lead

Aecon Concessions is seeking a highly skilled Planning/Scheduling Lead to join our Urban Transportation Solutions group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of dynamic transit projects in Canada.

About the Role:

The Planning/Scheduling Lead will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring compliance with Aecon's Project Controls standards and applicable contract documents. You will also be responsible for forecasting resource requirements, establishing productivity baselines, and preparing progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure integrity of data across the project life cycle
  • Forecast resource requirements, including labor, materials, and equipment
  • Establish productivity baselines and prepare estimates
  • Prepare progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates
  • Implement and maintain Earned Value Management plans to measure project performance and identify variances
  • Manage schedule change notices and forecast project impact
  • Perform audits on schedules and prepare required output documents
  • Provide input into the continuous improvement of Aecon's Project Controls policies and guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, add, or modify schedule data and plans
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years rail transit industry experience
  • Proven experience and ability in planning, scheduling, and managing complex projects
  • Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management principles
  • Proven ability to effectively lead project planning and scheduling staff
  • Expert level knowledge of project planning and scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and TILOS
