About the Role

Bechtel is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our team for the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS) project. As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for leading the planning and scheduling efforts for this complex infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Schedule Development and Maintenance: Direct and oversee the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project milestones.
  2. Policy Implementation: Develop, interpret, and execute policy objectives and standards applicable to schedule maintenance and monitoring.
  3. Milestone Scheduling: Oversee the implementation of milestone schedules, including engineering, procurement, and construction closeout monitoring.
  4. Contractor Schedule Review: Perform and coordinate schedule reviews to ensure compliance with client expectations and integrate contractor schedules.
  5. Project Scope Management: Collect, verify, and integrate work scope for all entities into the total project plan, and review the representation of project scope in schedules.
  6. Schedule Analysis: Perform and analyze comparisons of scope and quantities between projects, and develop bid evaluation schedule criteria.
  7. Manpower Planning: Coordinate the development of bulk commodity installation curves and integrate appropriate manpower requirements for each discipline/specialty.
  8. Schedule Problem-Solving: Direct schedule analysis/study and problem-solving activities, and develop and interpret guidelines applicable to the analysis function.
  9. Reporting and Communication: Issue reports required by Ontario Line management and project procedures, and provide guidance to the Project Director on overall schedule impacts and solutions.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  2. Relevant Experience: Experience and demonstrated skill in planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
  3. Technical Skills: Primavera P6 experience required, and experience representing the client and reviewing/integrating contractor schedules.
