Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Firehouse Subs. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient service delivery and high-quality food products.
    • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal levels and minimize waste.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
    • Monitor customer feedback and implement changes to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and train a team of 5-10 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance expectations.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve employee skills and productivity.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage cash handling, including balancing cash registers and preparing bank deposits.
    • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Participate in marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant and drive sales growth.
    • Develop and implement promotional campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a clean and safe environment for employees and customers.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Technology and Equipment
    • Manage electronic cash registers and other point-of-sale systems to ensure accurate sales reporting and inventory management.
    • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and vendors.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and take action.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
    Requirements
    • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a fast-casual or quick-service environment.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
    • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
