Support Analyst

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a dedicated Support Analyst to enhance our IT Operations team. This role is vital in ensuring that our technological infrastructure supports our mission to provide exceptional care and services.

Position Overview

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time 1 FTE

Wages: $48,163.50-$66,906.61 based on qualifications and experience

Key Responsibilities

The Support Analyst will be based in our Head Office and will play a crucial role in delivering technical support and expertise. Reporting to the Manager of Technology Services, the analyst will collaborate with IT Operations staff and various stakeholders to ensure effective program and service delivery.

Key duties include:

  • Providing technical assistance and problem-solving support for a variety of software applications and hardware systems.
  • Delivering training sessions to staff on new technologies and system updates.
  • Installing and maintaining network servers and databases, while recommending enhancements for improved performance.
  • Documenting technical findings and maintaining accurate records of user support activities.
  • Overseeing system maintenance and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Participating in technology projects and leading initiatives to implement new systems.
  • Providing remote support for escalated technical issues and assisting with priority escalations.
  • Administering security provisions for infrastructure and systems.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Computer Engineering technology diploma or Computer Support Technician diploma, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, MCSA, and Microsoft 365 are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in technical support with a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, networking, and server management.
  • Ability to travel as needed for site support.
