We are looking for a talented Executive Category Development Manager to join our team at Molson Coors Beverage Company.

About the Role:

The Executive Category Development Manager will play a key role in driving growth and profitability in our assigned chain accounts. You will develop critical insights and solutions to grow the size and value of the customer's beer category, while capturing a disproportionate share of growth.

This position reports to the Sr. Customer Solutions Manager and is based out of Toronto. As an Executive Category Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying insights and emerging business opportunities through analysis of the perfect store pillars, including category reviews, shelf space allocation, assortment strategy, and adjacency recommendations of planograms.
  • Developing comprehensive category reviews by integrating data from various sources, including Nielsen, Retailer POS, and others, to establish yourself as a reliable and valued category expert for assigned retailers.
  • Incorporating consumer/shopper insights and behavior into analysis and insights, synthesizing all insights into selling stories, categories, and business reviews.
  • Working collaboratively with account teams on sales call approaches and plans, enhancing the utilization of analytics and insights within the Customer Sales team for assigned retailers.
  • Implementing annual plans agreed with customers, ensuring activations align with brand strategies and Perfect Store tools elevate the category.
  • Assisting in developing planogram concepts for assigned retailers.
  • Conducting postmortem analyses of programs to evaluate successes and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Leading sampling strategies for assigned customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience across category management, data analysis, consumer research, statistics, or sales in CPG industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant field.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software.
  • Working knowledge of Nielsen IQ, JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning software, and Retailer POS experience is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal selling skills.
