About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Management Manager to support our relationship with Loblaw's. As an external consultant to LCL and an internal advisor to Colgate-Palmolive, you will play a critical role in identifying opportunities that drive category and customer growth through fact-based recommendations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of business strategies by analyzing LDIA data, Numerator insights, shopper research, and syndicated/point of sale data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product assortment, shelf merchandising, promotional and pricing strategies.
  • Act as the category expert for LCL, delivering presentations on category best practices, trends, and opportunities.
  • Develop customer presentations for new innovations, key business issues, and planogram recommendations.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers based on mutual trust and integrity.
  • Communicate brand strategies and priorities to the team and synchronize them with customer strategies for a win-win outcome.
  • Execute new product initiatives and support category management growth through the application of sales technologies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in category management and efficient assortment decisions while influencing planograms to drive category growth.
  • Coordinate 'Fair Share of Shelf' support and develop planograms using planogram software.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of promotions and make recommendations internally.
  • Participate in team building and best practice sharing to increase team effectiveness.
Requirements
  • HBA, BBA, B. Comm/MBA or equivalent.
  • LCL experience in a sales or advisor capacity.
  • 7+ years of similar consumer product sales industry background or other relevant sales/marketing experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Category Management using a syndicated service (Nielsen, IRI/Circana, Retail Link, LDIA, etc.).
  • Proficient skills in JDA Space Planning & Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google sheets, Nielsen Discover Platform, Nielsen Homescan, Numerator.
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid environment (3x/week in office).
