About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Indigenous Community Support Specialist to join our team at Canada Inc. in a permanent, 30 hours per week position.

Job Summary

This role requires a highly skilled and passionate individual who is dedicated to supporting Indigenous communities and promoting cultural competency within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations;
  • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers;
  • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Indigenous communities or populations;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories and contemporary issues;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
