Parking Enforcement Officer

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and self-disciplined Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team. As a Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dashboard tickets, reservations, and parking permits are valid at contracted private properties throughout the City of London.
Job Summary:
This part-time position involves reviewing daily scheduled routes, responding to client requests, and inspecting vehicles prior to departing for shifts. You will also be responsible for accurately checking expiration dates of parking receipts, running plates through enforcement software, and issuing infractions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand daily scheduled routes prior to dispatching for shift
- Respond directly to client requests for enforcement in a swift and timely manner
- Inspect vehicle & required devices prior to departing for shift; report any issues to manager immediately
- Carefully check expiration date/ time of parking receipts displayed on dashboards, as well as approved hangtags where applicable
- Run plates through enforcement software at applicable sites to confirm registration
- Ensure accuracy in issuing infractions (correct information on ticket)
- Ensure devices are returned as they were taken, and placed back on charging units for next shifts
- Arranging towing of vehicles where applicable, under By-Law regulations
- Litter pick up and general maintenance of parking equipment
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- General knowledge of computers/cellular devices
- Valid G license with clean drivers abstract, and ability to provide abstract at time of hire
- Previous experience in parking enforcement or security background would be considered a strong asset
- Criminal check required prior to hire (backcheck completed by Precise Parklink)
- Must be punctual and self-disciplined; considered a self-starter
- Ability to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision as this is an independent, on-the-road job; must also strive to work in team settings towards a common purpose
- Ability to de-escalate situations should they arise; must be well-mannered & level-headed
- Capable of learning & absorbing training in a quick & efficient manner
- Must be polite with professional attitude
- Positive, friendly, enthusiastic and personable
- Must be punctual and self-disciplined
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingualism is a strong asset
