Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with complex and enduring mental health challenges.
You will engage in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, navigate the complexities of advanced pharmacological treatments, and offer essential psychosocial support to patients and their families.
The new Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Tower at RIH offers advanced child and adolescent mental health services, a specialized mental health and substance use inpatient unit, and a 30-bed general psychiatric unit.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Eligible
- Vacation Leave: With flexible scheduling, you'll have ample time to recharge and unwind.
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada.
- Estimated Remuneration: As a psychiatrist in Kamloops working full time, you can expect total compensation between $400,000 – 600,000, through a fee-for-service payment structure, sessional contract, plus MOCAP level 2.
