We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Hillside Centre in Kamloops, BC.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a skilled Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological services, including assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, and treatment planning in the Tertiary Mental Health Services area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with mental health issues.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioural therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Maintain and order psychological assessment materials, ensuring ongoing testing material requirements are met.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a related field.
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
  • Experience working in a tertiary mental health setting, preferably with individuals with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

In addition to the salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, and a municipal pension plan.
