Mental Health Therapist Opportunity in Kamloops, BC

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at pt Health in Kamloops, BC. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate therapist to work with diverse adult populations and make a meaningful impact in their lives.

About the Role

This part-time (16-20 hours/week) position involves providing counseling services to clients referred privately, by employers, or through various insurance companies. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will adopt a goal-focused, therapeutic approach to alleviate distress and improve social and occupational functioning.

You will participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plans, progress, and any barriers to treatment. Your primary focus will be on delivering quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counselling/Clinical Psychology from an accredited University
  • Registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors or the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor
  • Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of mental health symptoms with a range of adult clients
  • Clinical knowledge in areas such as grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues
  • Training and experience with cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT)
  • Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $45-$55 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work in-person on Wednesdays. You will also have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
