About the Role

This role involves overseeing and implementing documentation management within project organizations. Key responsibilities include ensuring complete project documentation availability, categorizing technical and management documents according to Alstom's internal rules and project needs, and managing document delivery to customers on time. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with the project management team to ensure that all members understand and adhere to documentation management guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and validate the project documentation management plan.
  2. Implement and manage project documentation in accordance with defined rules.
  3. Maintain awareness among project management team members about documentation-related milestones.
  4. Create and update project document templates.
  5. Deploy and manage the Alstom standard electronic documentation management system (EDMS) with IT support.
  6. Record project documentation in the EDMS.
  7. Establish and maintain internal and external distribution lists for project documentation.
  8. Apply translation requirements for project documentation.
  9. Provide documentation reporting and indicators to relevant stakeholders.
  10. Define and manage document storage and archiving procedures during and after the project.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in documentation management (seven years if no bachelor's degree).
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation management systems and their environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $60,000 and $90,000, depending on location and qualifications. This range reflects the average compensation for similar positions in the industry.
