Administrative Travel Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Travel Coordinator to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients in the travel industry.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a travel consultant for the commercial section, providing expert advice and guidance to clients on travel arrangements and services.
- Manage the operations of our corporate clients, ensuring seamless and efficient travel experiences.
- Take phone calls and execute reservation requests received by email, providing timely and accurate responses to clients.
- Advise clients on itinerary choices and other products offered, ensuring they receive the best possible travel experience.
- Make reservations in the computerized electronic ticketing system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Plan itineraries for individuals and groups with our corporate clients, taking into account their specific needs and requirements.
- Confirm reservations and issue itineraries and electronic tickets for our corporate clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Assist the supervisor with ticket invoicing and researching reimbursement files, as needed and appropriate.
- Participate in Transat training and presentations, staying up-to-date on new developments and best practices in the travel industry.
- Perform the weekly filing of files and the annual filing of files for the archives, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience as a travel consultant, with a strong understanding of the travel industry and its operations.
- Travel and general knowledge, including knowledge of history and geography, are important assets.
- Certified by the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Customer service and sales skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Professional attitudes and behavior, including teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing, with fluency in other languages being an asset.
- Ability to conduct monetary transactions, with a strong understanding of financial procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of the tourism industry and customer needs, as well as tourism products, including cruises and tours.
- Basic computer skills, including the computerized reservation system (Apollo) and the Internet.
