Job Description

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional with expertise in Crown-Indigenous consultation and Indigenous relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of truth and reconciliation and be able to leverage opportunities for innovation and creative solutions to issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Indigenous Consultation Branch
  • Provide strategic advice to executive leaders on complex topics and sensitive issues
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to Indigenous communities and groups
  • Build relationships/partnerships with Indigenous peoples, groups, and communities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A post-secondary degree in Indigenous Studies, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, or Natural Resource Management, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Crown-Indigenous consultation and Indigenous relations
  • Proven management experience with responsibility for human and financial resources
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage opportunities for innovation and find creative solutions to issues

Location and Salary

This position is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
