Job Summary

We seek an exceptional Strategic Director of Indigenous Programs to lead our efforts in developing and implementing programs that support the needs of Indigenous communities. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of Indigenous issues, excellent leadership skills, and experience in strategic planning and program development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to address the needs of Indigenous communities, in collaboration with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Leverage expertise and resources to build capacity and improve outcomes for Indigenous communities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous leaders, organizations, and community members to ensure effective engagement and collaboration.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and deliver programs and services that meet the needs of Indigenous communities.
  • Analyze data and evaluate program effectiveness to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Indigenous studies, social work, or public policy.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in program development, leadership, and management, preferably in an Indigenous context.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, program evaluation, and data analysis.
  • A strong understanding of Indigenous issues, including colonization, residential schools, and their ongoing impacts on Indigenous communities.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $83,942.48 - $151,096.46 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health and dental insurance, a generous retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
