About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Potluck Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Provide culinary direction and leadership to our kitchen team, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Menu Development: Work with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and specials.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Culinary Certification: Certification in food safety and handling.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
