Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at QJD PekingDuck Restaurant (Mississauga) Ltd. in Mississauga, ON.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest quality standards
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of culinary arts and kitchen management principles
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree an asset
