Job Summary

The Residence Worker, Mental Health role is a unique opportunity to join our innovative team in Abbotsford. As a key member of our Individualized Community Living Residential programs, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centered care to adults with mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of residents
  • Provide emotional support and feedback to residents and their families
  • Offer personal care support, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Participate in social, recreational, employment, educational, and other programs to support resident goals
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A valid class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Demonstrated ability to respond efficiently in crisis and escalated situations
  • Diploma in Social Services or relevant combination of education and experience
  • Background in professional or lived experience working with vulnerable populations facing multiple barriers
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records Check and reference checks
  • Evidence of compliance with the province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs
  • Current Emergency First Aid Certificate
