About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Safety Manager to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and guidance on safety, health, and environmental matters to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Assist and advise project managers in developing and implementing site-specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with new projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to safety, health, and environmental matters.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in occupational safety and health or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in occupational safety and health, with a focus on risk management and compliance.
  • Certification as a Canadian Certified Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian safety and health regulations, acts, and reporting requirements.
