About the Role

Arcan is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental, Health & Safety Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies to ensure a safe working environment for our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and risks associated with our operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Manage Safety Training Programs: Design and deliver training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
  4. Monitor and Report Safety Metrics: Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance safety performance.
  5. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with employees, management, and external stakeholders to promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Manage Safety Audits and Inspections: Coordinate and conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  7. Develop and Maintain Safety Manuals: Create and maintain comprehensive safety manuals and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 Years of Experience: In a safety-related role, preferably in the construction industry.
  2. National Construction Safety Officer Designation: Or equivalent certification.
  3. Train the Trainer Certification: In fall protection and mobile equipment.
  4. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  5. Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze safety performance metrics and develop strategies to enhance safety performance.
