Deputy Safety Manager Role

In this capacity, you will manage safety, health, and environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Parsons' risk management protocols. Here’s what your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as Parsons' representative on project sites
  • Provide guidance to project teams on environmental, safety, health, and risk management issues
  • Oversee health and safety initiatives for both employees and contractors
  • Conduct thorough audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards
  • Implement processes for injury reporting and incident management
  • Engage in incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Analyze trends based on findings and reports
  • Deliver SH&E training and conduct risk assessments
  • Coordinate emergency medical services and security contractors
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and permits

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related discipline
  • Certification as a Canadian Certified Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist
  • Familiarity with Canadian safety and health regulations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
