Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a vital role in supporting the patient and procedural workflow throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and Indirect Patient Care: Assist technical and nursing staff in direct and indirect patient care activities, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience.
  • Procedural Preparation and Discharge: Assist in patient procedural preparation and discharge, including monitoring the sub-waiting area and stretcher holding area for patients arriving for their procedure.
  • Supply Inventory and Work Area Preparation: Check and ensure that there are adequate supplies in each area, including linen bags, garbage bags, and glove boxes. Prepare patient records, including requisitions, protocol sheets, and any other procedural paperwork.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning: Complete cleaning of prep and procedural rooms in-between patients, and transport used procedure carts to the soiled utility room for reprocessing.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous hospital experience within a Diagnostic Imaging Department.
  • Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, ability to work with delicate and heavy equipment, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Personal Qualities: Patient-focused, team player, effective communicator, and physically able to perform required tasks.
