Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Imaging Support Specialist to join our Diagnostic Imaging department. As an Imaging Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the patient and procedural workflow throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technical and nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care activities.
  • Participate in high-level disinfection of ultrasound transducers and storage in clean supply rooms.
  • Facilitate efficient workflow by ensuring patients are in queue and prepared for imaging.
  • Provide instructions for exam preparation as required.
  • Act as a liaison with patients in the sub-waiting area and keep them informed of procedural wait times.
  • Escort patients to other modalities in Diagnostic Imaging for additional procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous hospital experience within a Diagnostic Imaging Department.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with patients and staff.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required.
