Position Summary

This role is PRN, with hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm, and requires on-call availability. Eligible for shift differentials.

We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Endoscopy who is a skilled practitioner with extensive experience in patient care. This individual should possess a deep understanding of the specific patient demographic and consistently apply their knowledge, theoretical frameworks, research, and practical experience to adapt to evolving clinical scenarios. The ideal candidate will utilize the Synergy Model for Care in their practice, personalizing care for each patient and family while serving as a resource and advocate for colleagues. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering safe, reliable, and effective patient care independently through the nursing process.
  • Accurately documenting the nursing process in the appropriate formats (e.g., electronic records, clinical pathways, charts) and planning and implementing patient care autonomously.
  • Recognizing patient needs and advocating based on a thorough understanding of their conditions, while being aware of personal values and their impact on professional interactions.
  • Seeking assistance for complex issues when necessary and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Taking personal responsibility for professional development and growth.
  • Collaborating within the unit to identify and address discipline-specific challenges and needs.
  • Collecting, reporting, analyzing, and providing data as required by physicians and interdisciplinary teams, in line with organizational standards.
  • Reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of patient care documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Possession of a valid, active, unencumbered nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing board.
  • BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification may be required in specific departments.

Join Our Team

Our Advanced Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonary department features 10 procedural suites, offering services such as PreOp, PACU, HLD, Diagnostic Endoscopy, Diagnostic Pulmonary, Advanced Endoscopy, Advanced Pulmonary, Robotics, and ENT. We operate 24/7, 365 days a year, with some late, on-call, and holiday shifts, as well as a rotation for overnight and weekend coverage for dedicated teams. The orientation period will last between 8 to 12 weeks, depending on experience.
