Position Overview
The role of the Clinical Nurse involves being a proficient practitioner who has gained extensive experience in patient care. This professional is expected to apply a comprehensive understanding of specific patient populations and utilize their knowledge, theoretical frameworks, research, and practical experience to adapt to evolving clinical scenarios.
This nursing professional will implement the Synergy Model for Care in their practice, personalizing care for each patient and their families while serving as a resource for colleagues and a staunch advocate for patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in effective and respectful communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members while providing safe and reliable care.
- Exhibit advanced assessment skills and understand the influence of nursing interventions on patient outcomes.
- Accurately document the nursing process in the appropriate formats, including electronic systems and clinical pathways.
- Incorporate patient and family input into care planning and manage time efficiently while applying the AACN Synergy Model in clinical practice.
- Identify the need for policy and procedure revisions based on evidence-based research and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care documentation.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a valid, active, unencumbered nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing authority. Candidates should be graduates of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or have recently completed a re-entry nursing program.
