Work Schedule: 3pm - 3am / Full Time / 36 Hours
Emory University Hospital Midtown is seeking a skilled clinician with extensive experience in patient care and a deep understanding of specific patient populations. This role requires the application of knowledge, theory, research, and experience to adapt to evolving clinical scenarios.
- Provides safe, reliable, and effective care to patients independently, utilizing the nursing process
- Applies the Synergy Model for Care in practice, tailoring care to meet the unique needs of each patient and their family
- Communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members
- Accurately documents the nursing process in the appropriate formats (e.g., electronic records, clinical pathways, charts)
- Incorporates patient and family input into the care planning process
- Evaluates patient responses to care and modifies the care plan as necessary
- Recognizes patient needs and advocates for them based on clinical knowledge
- Considers cultural differences in developing relationships with patients and families
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification may be necessary in specific departments.
- Exceptions: Individuals currently employed as an LPN within the Emory Healthcare system who have completed an accredited RN program and are in the process of obtaining RN licensure may be eligible to transition to the Nurse Clinician title while participating in the Resident program.
