About the Role

Futurpreneur Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Business Development Lead to join our team in Alberta. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the region, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and leading a team of business development professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development
    • Develop and implement regional business plans to drive growth and development in Alberta
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, mentors, and partners
    • Lead a team of business development professionals to achieve business objectives
    • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for business growth and development
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase lead generation and participation in Futurpreneur's financing programs
  • Marketing and Community Engagement
    • Develop and implement regional marketing plans to promote Futurpreneur's services and programs
    • Build and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to promote Futurpreneur's services and programs
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement marketing campaigns and activities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of business development professionals to achieve business objectives
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement training and development programs for business development professionals
  • Strategic Partnerships
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to promote Futurpreneur's services and programs
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement partnership strategies and plans
    • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities for business growth and development
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or economic development
  • 3 years of experience leading a business development team
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel regularly within the region
