About the Opportunity

Aecon Foundations is a leading provider of foundation solutions in the Canadian market. As a Proposal Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Business Development and Estimating Manager in coordinating, writing, and submitting high-quality proposals to secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed understanding of client proposal requirements and develop proposal calendars and responsibility matrices
  • Create templates for proposals, resumes, and project sheets
  • Prepare, edit, and format proposal sections, resumes, and project sheets
  • Track and ensure timely proposal deliverables from internal and external partners
  • Assist with writing, formatting, and proofing/editing of proposals
  • Research relevant statistics and project work plans to extract relevant content
  • Ensure all content is compliant with proposal requirements
  • Prepare proposal write-ups for various construction-related topics
  • Organize and schedule team meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes
  • Print, package, and deliver final proposal submissions or submit electronically
  • Manage document management systems and data entry to maintain accuracy of pursuit reports and scheduling
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and team objectives
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and post-bid debrief meetings and summarize results and lessons learned

Requirements

  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • University-level degree in English studies or background in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • High degree of organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • SharePoint administration experience
  • Marketing and design experience
  • Technical background with a discipline focus in civil, structural, or related technical discipline or construction experience
  • HardDollar experience
  • Knowledge of Canadian Press style guide
