About the Role

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Writer to join our team in British Columbia and the US West Coast. As a key member of our Cost & Project Management group, you will play a crucial role in assisting with business development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Preparation: Lead the proposal preparation process, guiding and expediting submission elements by team members responsible for development of proposal content.
  • RFP Analysis: Analyze the requirements of RFPs and determine what information needs to be included in the proposal; coordinate response efforts with management, technical, proposal, and marketing staff to meet submission requirements and deadlines.
  • Proposal Writing: Write and coordinate proposals with multiple time-sensitive deadlines in response to management leads; develop and prepare proposals using the input obtained from all sources in a concise, responsive, logical fashion, while ensuring the information provided complies with the specifications.
  • Proposal Management: Draft, edit, and finalize proposals for submission to clients; manage production and delivery throughout the entire proposal process; ensure proposals are delivered by the prescribed methods (online, hand delivered, etc.) by deadlines.
  • Lead Research: Search relevant bid sites for potential opportunities as lead consultants and sub-consultants; enter leads in SalesForce and update as the leads progress to proposals and jobs.
  • Content Management: Maintain proposal content database, sourcing and uploading case studies, standard templates, and other related materials.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, English, Communications, Journalism, or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience: 3+ years of proposal writing experience (or similar) including direct experience with EOI's, RFP's, and RFQ's as well as other forms of tender documents.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of professional services/construction/real estate industry is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (French/English, Simplified Chinese/English) would be considered an asset.
  • Writing Skills: Strong writing skills in order to create comprehensive correspondence, proposal responses, and client presentations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact and build relationships with management and staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational Skills: Superior organization and time management abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Superior MS office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Publisher, Visio, Salesforce, and Sharepoint experience considered an asset.
