Position: Senior Project Manager
Location: PEI Canada

Qualifications:
  • Typically acquired through post-secondary education at a university or technical institute in one of the following fields:
    • Business Administration
    • Computer Science
    • Engineering
    • Information Technology
  • Certifications:
    • Preferred: Project Management Institute - Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) Certification.
    • Desired: Certification in People Change Management (e.g., Prosci).
    • Any additional relevant certifications that enhance the Project Manager III role (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Experience Requirements:
  • At least eight (8) years of experience as a Project Manager III, overseeing large and intricate projects.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial reporting for medium to large-scale projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and cost control.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing third-party vendors and ensuring accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and prioritizing multiple large-scale projects, including project performance management, requirements gathering, solution design, development, and testing.
  • Previous experience and in-depth knowledge of Agile and Agile/Hybrid methodologies.
  • Preferred: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in IT and/or telecommunications (wireline, wireless, converged), with relevant experience within the last seven (7) years.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for all facets of the project (or phase) throughout the entire project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control and monitor, close).
  • Manage the project/program schedule, budget, scope, requirements, benefits, issues, risks, and communications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for the project/program.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities in organization, planning, facilitation, risk analysis, project/program performance management, negotiation, and communication (both verbal and written).
  • Demonstrate core competencies such as initiative, relationship building, influencing others, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Oversee the overall project/program, including:
    • Facilitating the development of and adherence to the required Client Corporate Program Management Office (cPMO) standard Project Management deliverables, including Business Case, Project Plan, Project Schedule, etc.
    • Ensuring compliance with project/program budget; responsible for cost management and reporting.
    • Managing project/program communications, including the development of a Project Communications Plan, regular team status updates, and communicating status at a Director and Executive level.
    • Planning and executing People Change Management initiatives.
