Position: Project Manager 2
Location: PEI Canada

Education and Qualifications:
  • Typically acquired through post-secondary education at a University or Technical Institute in one of the following fields:
  • Business Administration
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Preferred: Project Management Institute - Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) Certification.
Certifications:
  • Desirable: Certified in People Change Management (e.g., Prosci).
  • Any additional relevant certifications significant to the Project Manager II role (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Required Experience:
  • At least five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager II, overseeing medium to large-scale projects.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial reporting for medium to large projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and cost control.
  • At least three (3) years of experience managing third-party vendors and ensuring accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects or one larger complex project, covering project performance management, requirements, solution design, development, and testing.
  • Prior experience and comprehensive knowledge of Agile and Agile/Hybrid methodologies.
  • Preferred: Minimum of three (3) years of IT and/or telecommunications experience (wireline, wireless, converged), with relevant experience within the last seven (7) years.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for all aspects of the project (or phase) throughout the entire project life cycle, including initiation, planning, execution, control, monitoring, and closure.
  • Responsible for managing the project/program schedule, budget, scope, requirements, benefits, issues, risks, and communications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for the project/program.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities in organization, planning, facilitation, risk analysis, project/program performance management, negotiation, and communication (both verbal and written).
  • Core competencies include initiative, relationship building, influencing others, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Oversee the overall project/program, including:
    • Facilitating the development of and adherence to the required Client Corporate Program Management Office (cPMO) standard Project Management deliverables, such as Business Case, Project Plan, Project Schedule, etc.
    • Ensuring compliance with project/program budget; responsible for cost management and reporting.
    • Managing project/program communications, including the development of the Project Communications Plan, regular team status updates, and communicating status at a Director and Executive level.
    • Planning and executing People Change Management initiatives.
