About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hotel Front Desk Clerk at The Balmer Hotel. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Room Assignments

Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all necessary information is accurately recorded.

Group Arrivals and Departures

Process group arrivals and departures, including managing room assignments, billing, and other related tasks.

Room Reservations and Management

Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Guest Services

Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.

Departure Processing

Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.

Inventory Management

Maintain an accurate inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring seamless operations.

Communication

Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff, providing excellent communication skills.

Special Needs Assistance

Assist guests with special needs, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

Wake-Up Calls

Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls, ensuring timely and efficient service.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.

Work Environment and Requirements
  • Attention to Detail

Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Physical Demands

Stand for extended periods, moving around the hotel as needed, and performing tasks that require physical stamina.

Work Schedule

Work a 40-hour week, with flexibility to adapt to changing hotel needs.

Language

Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills.
