About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Infrastructure and Help Desk Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our smart metering infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Monitoring and Service Level Management: Oversee and assess the performance of our smart metering infrastructure, reporting on technical performance and adherence to standards.
  • Technical Support and Triage Management: Coordinate and manage technical and contact centre triage teams, ensuring effective communication between technical teams and customer service.
  • Asset Reporting, Tracking, and Compliance: Oversee asset reporting and tracking, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and monitoring and managing risks associated with the smart metering infrastructure.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement: Engage with various Centrica divisions to leverage smart meter capabilities, supporting business processes related to 'meter to cash', installation, maintenance, and asset management.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on smart metering performance.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of working in energy or related fields.
  • A deep understanding of metering infrastructure, policy, design, and related technologies (Smart DCC, Ofgem, DESNZ).
  • Expertise in large-scale, complex change management and transformation programs.
  • Strong grasp of operational delivery, energy policy, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
