Are you passionate about providing exceptional nursing care? We are looking for a committed Registered Nurse who is eager to deliver empathetic patient support at Northern Health Authority.

Under the guidance of the Team Lead or designate, you will deliver ongoing intensive outreach nursing services, case management, and support for mental health and substance use for designated clients, whether they are in a healthcare facility, residential setting, or other community environments.

You will design, implement, and oversee personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing community integration and minimizing the need for re-hospitalization.

Collaboration with inter-professional community mental health and substance use teams, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and local service providers is essential.


Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shifts, 08:00 to 16:00

The updated wage is: $55.91/hour

Required Qualifications

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN.
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in mental health and substance use programming or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Advanced Preparation in Clinical Specialties:
Psychedelic Assisted Therapy RN
Completion of a Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Graduate Certificate from an accredited institution
Experience with various healing modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Grof Breathwork, Internal Family Systems, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Hakomi, etc.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Assessment and Intervention – Proven ability to conduct initial and ongoing client assessments (clinical and diagnostic reasoning) and deliver nursing care through appropriate prescribed interventions.
  • Communication – Proven ability to effectively communicate with clients, families, the public, medical staff, and interdisciplinary team members using verbal, written, and digital communication methods.
  • Critical Thinking – Proven ability to synthesize and evaluate relevant data from multiple sources to solve problems effectively.
  • Human-Centered and Relationship-Focused Practice – Ability to promote client-centered care that reflects sensitivity to diverse cultures and preferences, client advocacy, and social justice issues.
  • Culturally Safe and

Trauma-Informed Care:

Ability to establish culturally safe, trauma-informed healthcare environments through individualized care planning and collaborative service delivery, including Indigenous health services as applicable.



  • Teaching – Ability to convey information intended to educate clients and others on essential health care and well-being topics.
  • Management – Effectively manages time and resources, fostering cooperation among relevant stakeholders and collaboration across disciplines.
  • Leadership – Encourages staff morale, cooperation, assertiveness, and innovative planning for change, implementation of organizational policies, and ongoing professional development.
