The Staff RN, PACU, operates in alignment with the Vision, Values, Ethics, and Standards of the organization, as well as the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), while adhering to a patient and family-centered care approach.
In this role, the Staff RN, PACU, is responsible for delivering nursing care in a fast-paced clinical environment, focusing on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, the Staff Nurse ensures the provision of client-centered care, assisting patients and their families in adapting to evolving healthcare needs.
This position requires a specialized knowledge base, with practice grounded in nursing science and related disciplines.
Work Schedule: Days, 08:00 to 20:00 (Rotating)
About the Healthcare Facility has a capacity of 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds, managing approximately 22,000 emergency visits annually.
Key Features of the Facility:
- Advanced endoscopy suite and two modern operating rooms, along with a procedure room
- Ambulatory clinics, including specialized services for Cancer and Hemodialysis
- Medical and Surgical inpatient accommodations (40 beds)
- Three Intensive Care Units
- Facilities for minor surgical procedures
- Seven private Maternity rooms for Labour, Delivery, and Post-Partum care

- Advanced education in an approved enhanced specialty post-anesthetic education course, along with two years of recent, relevant clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
