Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada Full time

Are You Ready to Make a Difference?

We are seeking an individual who is passionate, motivated by challenges, and dedicated to creating a positive impact. If you excel in innovative thinking and desire the autonomy to work independently while embracing accountability, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

In this pivotal position within a mission-driven, locally focused, and nationally supported organization, the Fund Development Lead plays a crucial role in furthering our objectives, enhancing volunteer participation, and expanding community outreach. This leader is tasked with driving growth by identifying, recruiting, managing, and inspiring a team of senior business executive volunteers and elite fundraising teams to reach and exceed ambitious goals.

The role necessitates attending in-person meetings, with up to 40% of your time dedicated to engaging with the community and our regional partners. There may also be opportunities for up to 3 weeks of out-of-province travel annually to connect with colleagues and national stakeholders. Your capacity to inspire and motivate volunteers, combined with a proven history of achieving significant objectives, will be essential to our mission. If you are enthusiastic about the chance to make a tangible difference in our community and are prepared to take on responsibility while enjoying the freedom to innovate, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales or fundraising.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and managing business leaders/executive volunteer leadership committees to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Proven expertise in peer-to-peer fundraising and fundraising event management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage, motivate, and leverage stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfort with public speaking, and the ability to connect with diverse groups.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset (if applicable).

What We Offer

  • Generous time off, including 15 days of starting vacation, a day off for your birthday, and holiday closures for approximately two weeks at the end of the year.
  • A comprehensive range of health and wellness benefits, including a healthcare spending account and more.
  • A flexible and hybrid work environment.
  • A four-day workweek benefit.
  • Supportive colleagues and a positive workplace culture.

Together, we can enhance the lives of individuals affected by blood cancers. If you are driven to make a difference and possess the ambition to achieve significant goals, we welcome your interest in this role.
