Position Overview

Salary Range - $45,000 - $55,000 (based on experience)

As a Showroom Sales Specialist, you will deliver expert guidance in product selection and design recommendations to our clientele. Your primary objective will be to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, thereby achieving or surpassing sales and profit objectives while enhancing profit-sharing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist showroom clients in identifying their requirements, guiding their product choices, and finalizing sales
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with designers, builders, and architects to drive profitable sales
  • Provide prompt and reliable quotes along with accurate delivery timelines to customers
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross profit goals for specific products
  • Process orders and quotes in the system, ensuring timely communication with customers
  • Address and resolve customer concerns; manage short payments and returns efficiently to exceed customer expectations
  • Maintain up-to-date product literature to ensure customers have access to the latest information
  • Promote showroom sales through effective marketing strategies and by maintaining attractive display materials
  • Adhere to all safety regulations at customer locations and within the company
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college or university degree is an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or sales; experience in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showroom sales is preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of showroom products and recommend suitable options to meet customer needs
  • Familiarity with kitchen and bath design trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building abilities with customers, vendors, and colleagues
  • Capability to identify customer needs, propose solutions, and close sales
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Able to learn and utilize the relevant software systems for order processing
  • Intermediate mathematical skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience or knowledge of products offered in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms
  • Experience with M3 software
