Senior IT Services Administrative Support Officer

Position Overview:
This role offers high-level administrative, coordination, and clerical support to the IT Services Manager, Supervisors, and team members. The position also serves as a point of contact for customer service and reception for both internal and external stakeholders of the IT Services Department.
Key Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma, complemented by one year of training in business administration or as an administrative assistant, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years in a senior administrative role with significant customer interaction and service.
- Proficiency in document formatting and the creation of presentation materials.
- Strong skills in utilizing standard business software, including the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and familiarity with the 365 environment (Teams, SharePoint, Delve) is advantageous. Experience with Financial ERP software such as JD Edwards and EPM is also beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with the public, colleagues, and various City Departments, especially in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment. Must possess strong listening abilities, articulate clearly, and respond courteously to inquiries and feedback.
- Proven capability to work independently, demonstrating initiative in prioritizing and completing tasks efficiently within a team-oriented, multi-tasking environment.
- A strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Experience within municipal government, with a solid understanding of administrative procedures.
- A track record of fulfilling commitments with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to produce, type, and compile documents from rough notes and verbal communications into polished, professional-quality outputs.
- Capacity to learn and retain knowledge of the City organization and the policies and procedures of the Information Technology Services Department, while staying informed about relevant City issues.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and demonstrate an aptitude for enhancing skills related to office technology.

Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $32.26 to $33.96.
Work Schedule:
75 hours biweekly, Monday through Friday, with potential evening and weekend hours as needed.
