About the Role

We are seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead our team of skilled R&D Technologists and Bakers in developing innovative products that contribute to the long-term success of Silver Hills and our Gluten Free line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate the R&D team to create new products and improve existing ones
  • Support the Director, R&D in strategic project planning and execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and innovation
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in food science and technology
Requirements
  • 5+ years of R&D experience in the food industry
  • 3+ years of experience in managing or leading a team of employees in R&D or Production
  • Proven track record of managing complex and strategic projects
  • Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of food microbiology principles, typical spoilage organisms, and control strategies
  • Database management skills and ability to formulate complex reports
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and Quality Management Systems
