Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2413061 Ontario INC. as a key member of our culinary operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our food service staff, including preparing and portioning food, training staff in job duties and sanitation procedures, and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Estimate and Manage Food and Supplies

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, preparing budget and cost estimates, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Lead and Develop the Culinary Team

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for leading and developing the culinary team, including hiring food service staff, establishing work schedules, and ensuring that all team members are trained and equipped to meet the needs of our customers.

Ensure Quality and Customer Satisfaction

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food and service meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction, including addressing customer complaints or concerns and preparing and submitting reports.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

The successful candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Skills and Abilities

The Food Service Supervisor will possess excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods, and will be physically demanding.

Work Environment

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to work under pressure to ensure that all food and service meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Language and Work Term

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and will be required to work on a permanent basis, with a 40-hour work week.
