About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2849788 Ontario Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff are equipped to perform their roles to the highest standard.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports, and maintain accurate records of food order summaries for the chef.
  • Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for staff, and supervise and check the assembly of trays.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, providing support and guidance to help them settle into their new roles.
Support for Youths
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed in their careers.

Work Environment: This is a permanent, full-time position working 32 hours per week. The work language is English.
