Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and enhancement of workstations to optimize workflow.
  • Organize and prepare tasks to align with production schedules.
  • Participate in assembly tasks as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure readiness for inspections.
  • Train and support assembly staff to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct quality inspections of components and guide team members to achieve superior product standards.
  • Perform spot checks on finished products to ensure a flawless finish.
  • Interpret and comprehend process documentation, drawings, and setup instructions.
  • Manage tool inventory and maintain tool boards.
  • Provide support to the foreman as necessary.
  • Accurately complete process documentation and track production quantities.
  • Report any damaged materials or scrap to the supervisor.
  • Understand material specifications and dimensions relevant to the production process.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in performing all assembly tasks to an acceptable standard.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with the operation of hand and power tools.
  • Capable of following written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of oxygen-acetylene cutting torches, arc welders, and MIG welders.
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance relevant to this role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills in both technical and layman’s terms with various staff levels.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
