Job Summary:

The Kitting and Assembly Production Technician will report to the Supervisor, Kitting/Assembly, and will be responsible for performing various production and assembly duties throughout the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock and maintain workstations with necessary materials and equipment.
  • Review and verify work orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Report any material shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Identify and record defects, and notify the supervisor accordingly.
  • Operate measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to prepare for work.
  • Assemble parts and components using hand and power tools, and ensure proper fit and finish.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, and fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Perform other kitting and assembly duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

The successful candidate must possess a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, a commitment to safety, and a positive attitude. The work environment will include working alone or as part of a team, and following safe work practices.
