Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and enhancement of work cells to optimize workflow.
  • Organize and prepare tasks to align with production schedules.
  • Participate in assembly tasks as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work cells to ensure a professional environment.
  • Train and support assemblers to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct quality inspections on parts and assist team members in achieving high-quality standards.
  • Perform spot checks on finished products to ensure a flawless finish.
  • Interpret and comprehend process sheets, drawings, and setup instructions.
  • Manage tool boards and inventory effectively.
  • Provide support to the foreman as needed.
  • Accurately complete process sheets and track production counts.
  • Report any damaged goods or scrap materials to the supervisor.
  • Understand material specifications and sizes relevant to the production process.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in performing all assembly functions to a satisfactory standard.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of hand and power tools.
  • Capable of following written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Familiarity with the operation of oxygen-acetylene cutting torches, arc welders, and MIG welders.
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance relevant to this role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills in both technical and layman’s terms across various staff levels.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
