Puglisevich Crews & Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Technician to join our team in Newfoundland, Canada.
About the JobThis is a short-term contract position, estimated to last 4-6 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and computer-based control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair computer, instrumentation, and communication systems on the rig.
- Ensure technical systems and electrical equipment comply with regulations.
- Keep maintenance logs and prepare reports on technical systems.
- Order spare parts for planned and non-planned maintenance and repair.
- Perform work safely and professionally, adhering to valid safety regulations and technical procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings and other meetings.
- Perform emergency duties according to the unit's emergency organization.
- Electronic Technology or Engineering Degree.
- 1+ years' experience as an Electronic Technician on 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible or similar installation.
- Previous High Voltage and Low Voltage Experience.
- Hazardous Area Equipment Training or Equivalent.
- Experience on Thruster DP 3 operation is preferred.
- Previous offshore experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficient use of electrical testing meters and equipment.
- Ability to operate software applications as applicable to the position.
