Position Overview
Ignite Talent Solutions is representing a prominent organization dedicated to providing exceptional care for seniors. They are currently seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Care for their newly established facility in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Director of Care (DOC) and oversee the organization and scheduling of resident care activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering an environment that promotes the health and well-being of both residents and staff.
- Managing the recruitment, onboarding, ongoing training, supervision, and performance evaluations of nursing personnel.
- Serving as a representative and role model for the facility in all interactions with community members, residents, visitors, staff, and volunteers.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare environment.
- A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- Educational background in nursing, nursing administration, and gerontology; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in progressive leadership and a hands-on approach to monitoring and assessing resident care.
