POSITION SUMMARY:

We are in search of a proactive and results-driven leader in quality and professional practice, focused on delivering superior clinical strategies through empowering our workforce. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record as an executive leader, facilitator, and influencer.

The Senior Director of Quality will assume a pivotal leadership role within the Office of Quality, promoting collaboration across all business lines and corporate departments.

Reporting to the Vice President of Senior Health and Chief Clinical Executive, this newly established role will oversee a team of Advanced Practice Leaders and prioritize initiatives such as patient safety, continuous quality enhancement, and the implementation of evidence-based practices.

A commitment to leading practices, client-centered care, and safety is essential to support our strategic priorities and align with our mission.

This will be achieved through decisive leadership actions and measurable outcomes in developing clinical protocols and enhancing leadership capacity across various sectors, including home and community care, senior living facilities, and social enterprise projects.

In partnership with operational leaders, the Senior Director will be integral to the clinical executive team, focusing on the design, execution, and assessment of a robust quality and client safety program.

The Senior Director will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating with partners to refine systems and processes that integrate quality dimensions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the Advanced Practice Leadership team in conjunction with the Senior Clinical Director of Professional Practice.
  • Oversee various portfolios, including Aging and Gerontology, Clinical Practice Support, Medication Safety, and Palliative Care.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical protocols for specialties such as gerontology and wound care.
  • Facilitate the translation of organizational knowledge into practice.
  • Manage initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and minimizing patient risk.
  • Enhance the organizational safety culture through effective incident reporting and analysis.
  • Promote clinical leadership development in patient safety and quality improvement.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including presentations and publications.
  • Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Support the execution of the organization’s Model of Care related to practice excellence.
  • Inspire teams to adopt evidence-based practices.
  • Provide mentorship and create effective learning environments for staff and students.
  • Maintain relationships with professional regulatory bodies and associations.
  • Exemplify leadership behaviors aligned with our values, emphasizing person-centered care and collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Registered nurse leader with a current professional license in good standing.
  • Master's Degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field, focusing on quality and patient safety.
  • Five to eight years of progressive leadership experience at a director level or higher.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical operations concerning quality and patient safety.
  • Proven ability to lead in a national organization committed to clinical excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build collaborative partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and change management in complex settings.
  • Strong project management and program development skills.
  • Ability to utilize data and analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and effective presentation skills.
  • Fluency in French or another language is an asset.
